Man, I'm tired!

Anyhow I attended a very interesting lecture at SSU a little while back about race called White Like Me, presented by Tim Wise.

WHITE LIKE ME: REFLECTIONS ON RACE FROM A PRIVILEGED SON - Discussion and lecture by Tim Wise, a prominent anti-race writer. White Like Me is a memoir by a white person about how race and racism affect everyday life. Wise is a critic of white privilege in the United States and has spoken at over 40 college and university campuses.

Sonoma State has streamed the video of the talk for anyone interested in listening to it, so I thought I'd let you all know.

In other news, our apartment will be getting a new resident soon! We're going down to the animal shelter this weekend to pick up Tashi's new roommate, and I'm really excited. She's an adorable 1 year old Tortie with medium length (very soft) fur and a very pleasant disposition. You can check her out here.

School is going well, I'm just chuggin' along at this point so we'll see if I can keep up the momentum till the end of the semester. May isn't that far away!
