Homemade Pi

Hey there, just checking in with some interesting news. Some of you may know about my peculiar interest in memorization, though I'll bet you probably haven't. An example? One day in high-school I was bored so I memorized the alphabet backwards and can recall it fluently. Useless? You bet. But fun none the less as a test of skill and brain power!

So, what better to set my sights upon now than Pi? Now, I don't intend to compete with those who can remember thousands upon thousands of digits in Pi, but I am working on memorizing a goal of 40 decimal places of Pi. I started my goal today and was able to recite up to 41 numbers. The goal now is to become confident in those numbers because I'm still a bit shaky (hey, it's my first day ok?)

I chose 40 as my number because Pi to the 40th place is what you would need in order to calculate the circumference of the known universe to a molecular level of accuracy. Man, I really am a nerd.
